Indiana Sex Offenders
Indiana State Law
Zachary's Law directs the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute to collect and make available information about individuals who have been convicted of one or more of the sex and violent offenses requiring registration with local law enforcement authorities.
This information is provided in Indiana's Sex and Violent Offender Directory. The Institute continuously receives and adds information to the directory from criminal justice authorities, including the local law enforcement agencies at which offenders register.
Zachary's Law is named for Zachary Snider of Cloverdale, Indiana. Zachary was 10 years old when he was murdered by a convicted child molester in 1993.
Indiana sex and violent offenders are required by law to provide detailed information, including photographs and addresses, to the sheriff departments (or, in Marion County, the Indianapolis Police Department) where they register.
Indiana State Sex Offender Registry
