Sections 15-20-21 to 37, Code of Alabama 1975, makes it a class C felony for any criminal sex offender to violate most provisions of the Alabama Community Notification Act. - No criminal sex offender shall be allowed to establish a residence or accept employment within 2,000 feet of the property on which any public school, private or parochial school, licensed day care center, or any other child care facility.
- No criminal sex offender shall be allowed to establish a residence or any other living accommodation within 1,000 feet of the property on which of any of his or her former victim(s), or the victims' immediate family members reside.
- No criminal sex offender shall be allowed to establish a residence or any other living accommodation where a minor resides, except as provided by law.
